Your pain on the cross was but a splinter compared to the agony of my father, cast out from Heaven. The fallen angel, banished, reviled... I will drive deeper the thorns into your rancid carcass, you profaner of vices. Cursed Nazarene. Satan, I will avenge thy torment, by destroying the Christ forever.

~ Damien expresses rage towards Christ for Satan's damnation.
Damien Thorn is the main antagonist of the Omen trilogy. He was the son/grandson of The Diablo and Margaret Daino and the prophetic Antichrist who was destined to bring upon the end of the world, but eventually was defeated by his antithesis himself, Jesus Christ. Born of a jackal at the sixth hour on the sixth day of June, Damien lives the first twelve years of his life being totally oblivious to his demonic nature, until he finds it out and chooses to fulfill his evil destiny.
When he was conceived in Margaret, he caused some traumatic demonic psychological possession that was making her sick and his human father mortified beyond belief.
As he was growing up, he never expressed any protection for his mother and sister during their grave danger of his cult haunting them down, despite the fact that Margaret has empathy to not bring herself to kill him.
At first, upon discovering he's the Antichrist, he's distraught and terrified of his destiny. However, it doesn't take long for him to totally accept Satan as the true God and resolve to avenge his father's fall from grace.
His cousin Mark finds out he's the Antichrist, and when he refuses to join Damien, the latter kills him by inducing an aneurysm.
He kills his aunt, who had also just saved his life by killing his uncle who sought to kill him, by blowing up a boiler in a museum she was in, to ensure he's the rightful heir to Thorn Industries.
As an adult, Damien takes over Thorn Industries, becoming ever more powerful, also becoming the American Ambassador to the United Kingdom after having one of his dogs kill the previous one.
He begins dating journalist Kate Reynolds and, unbeknownst to her, brainwashes her son Peter into being a minion and spy.
As Father DeCarlo and six priests (Brothers Benito, Paulo, Martin, Matteus, Antonio, and Simeon) hunt for Damien with the Seven Daggers of Tel Megiddo, he systematically kills all except DeCarlo and Benito (the latter of whom is killed instead by Satan) in a variety of ways.
He causes two of them, Paulo and Martin, to see one of the others, Matteus, as Damien, prompting them to stab him to death before realizing their error and being trapped by Damien, no doubt soon dying.
He influences Antonio's horse to hurl him off into the river below a bridge, then has his dogs maim and kill Simeon.
When the second Star of Bethlehem forms, signaling the Second Coming of Christ, Damien orders the Disciples of the Watch (his followers) to kill all babies born on March 24th after midnight when the Star formed.
When his right-hand, Harvey Pleydell-Dean, refuses to kill his own son, he sent one of his hellhounds to influence his wife to do it.
After saving Kate from drowning, the pair make love that night, but Damien forcefully sodomizes her as well.
As he is about to officially recruit Peter as a Disciple, Kate offers to take him to the Christ child if he leaves Peter be, in secret luring him to DeCarlo who is in possession of the last Dagger. Upon arrival, he is attacked by DeCarlo but he uses Peter as a shield, killing the boy and despairing his mother.
Damien's last words upon being stabbed by a vengeful Kate are spent cursing Jesus Christ, and he claims he has won nothing, implying that he will return, or at least another Antichrist.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
He sees Mark as a brother figure, stands up for him when he's bullied, and even when Mark learns the truth, Damien wants to spare him and begs Mark to come with him. He immediately regretted killing Mark and cried out in anguish after his collapse.
He is capable of compassion, as he felt sympathy for his father Satan, believing that he was wronged, and blamed Christ for his fall, proclaiming to his father that he would avenge him by destroying Jesus forever.
