| NOTE: This article only talks about the characterization of Cruella De Vil in this game, since the Cruella De Vil in the original 1960's film and 101 Dalmatian Street is Pure Evil. |
Cruella De Vil is the main antagonist of 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to The Rescue.
She was voiced by Susanne Blakeslee.
Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- The toys she makes are established to be cheaply made, with gameplay showing them to be dangerous as well, showing she doesn't actually care about quality control, even if it risks the lives of her customers.
- Even worse is that it isn't because of how cheaply made they are that make them dangerous, but what they are made to do (meaning they are dangerous by design). For example, the toy soldier fires rockets that literally explode, toastbot shoots the toast out hard enough to hurt somebody, the bomb car is literally a bomb, the blimp drops exploding rockets, and the propeller blades of the helicoptor and toy airplane make buzzing sounds when they hurt the puppies showing that they are sharp.
- Despite the fact that her toys are obviously bad, she blames poor sales on pets and has her henchmen kidnap pets all across London as well as have Professor Farzboom reprogram all the toys into a hunting mode.
- She has her henchmen and toys cause panic throughout London and capture various animals.
- She has Professor Farzboom build some sort of machine she refers to as the "Super Gloop" which is supposedly some sort of super strong glue which she intends to use on the animals she had her men capture so she could sell them off as super realistic looking toys, not caring about the high possibility of them suffocating.
- She and her men attempt to capture Domino and Oddball throughout the game.
- Unlike in most continuities, Cruella seems to have a level of awareness that the animals are sapient given how she acknowledges the trouble Domino and Oddball give her along with knowing that they are trying to stop her plan.
- She blames her first two defeats entirely on Jasper and Horace despite them not even being there.
- When Le Pelt shows to have captured Dottie and Dipstick, Cruella expresses delight over this due to it meaning that Oddball and Domino are all alone on their journey.
- Even though she seems to be nicer to Professor Farzboom compared to the rest of her henchmen, she still berates him in multiple moments.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Admittedly, her awareness of sapience here is mostly implied, thus meaning it is Fridge Horror. That said, it is a minor prevention given how she still acknowledges each struggle with Oddball and Domino.
Trivia[]
- This is so far the only version of Cruella De Vil to be Near Pure Evil.
