“ | These vicious home invasions are a sign of the times. As demographics change, so do crime rates. Now, we may not be able to slow the browning of America, but we can sure as hell take our city back. And if you elect me, I'll lead that charge. | „ |
~ One of Preston's racist campaign speeches. |
Clark Preston is one of the two main antagonists of the Criminal Minds episode "A Thin Line".
He is a greedy, racist politician and real estate broker who is running for Congress on an anti-immigrant platform while manipulating Trevor Mills into committing murderous home invasions in order to reduce the property values of the neighborhoods so Preston can buy the land cheap.
He was portrayed by Paul Johansson.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He paid various crooks and criminals to start various crime sprees throughout neighbourhoods which would lower the prices of the properties within those neighbourhoods so Preston could purchase them cheaply.
- It should be noted that these crime sprees range from murders, rapes and home invasions which Preston is completely apathetic about.
- At one point he staged the home invasion of the Mills family, resulting in the death of the father, the sister and the brutal rape of the mother (Pamela) which left her with brain damage and dependent on Trevor Mills to look after her for the rest of their life.
- He would purchase the Mills property and manipulate/brainwash Trevor Mills into idolizing him which resulted in Preston having access to Pamela's disability checks which is siphons from, something Pamela is completely unaware of.
- It should also be noted that Trevor Mills is left completely unaware of what Preston did to his family for years, Preston shows zero empathy or consideration about this.
- When running for mayor of California, he would manipulate the brainwashed and traumatized Trevor Mills into committing multiple home invasions and the mass murders of entire families while also murdering various ethnical minorities, framing them as the ones who invaded the homes.
- This results in the deaths of dozens of children and even the death of an infant.
- As a result of his constant racist rhetoric and the home invasions, racial tensions would spike which would strengthen Preston's mayorial campaign.
- When Trevor Mills goes to him for help, Preston completely disregards him and tells him to never come back or try to contact him ever again.
- When Preston is taken into custody, he claims that he has no connections with Trevor Mills and doesn't question or bring up what happened to him, showing that Preston only saw Trevor Mills as a means to an end that he then wanted to discard.
- It should be noted that in truth, Clark Preston didn't harbour any actual racist sentiments, he simply used racism as a method to benefit himself and his profits.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Due to only have 19 confirmed victims, he fails the heinous standard to Billy Flynn, who has killed 200 by repeatably raping the woman of the household and forcing the child to watch.
Trivia[]
- Similarly to J.B. Allen, it is very likely that Clark Preston would have qualified for Pure Evil if his full body-count was revealed beyond the 19 confirmed kills shown in the episode.
