Clarance is the main antagonist of the 2021 Netflix original film Extinct. He is the pet poodle of a benevolent scientist called Dr. Chung, that is responsible for the cause of the extinction of the Flummels due to once living in a world where Flummels were the number one creatures giving him immense hatred and envy towards them.
He was voiced by Ken Jeong.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Despite his backstory of never been adopted by anyone due to how Flummels were the most popular, it doesn't make him sympathetic as he's willing to go so far as to commit genocide on all of them at all. Especially when he did get adopted and treated very well the scientist who took him in, it was his decision to betray his former master because he thinks he's growing to like Flummels as well thus he decided to wipe them out.
- Despite once caring for his former master, he betrayed and traps him in a time period so he'll won't stop him and his plan to kill all of the Flummels in the past, destroying a time plant to prevent him from coming back.
- He used a bomb that killed off every Flummels in the island, making him responsible for their extinction.
- Since we've also seen a baby Flummel among them, he's also responsible for infant murder as well.
- When Op and Ed tries to prevent the extinction of their kind, Clarance pretend to be there ally before betrayed Op and locking her people in a volcano mountain and leaves her there to die with her people.
- He planned to wipe out the Flummels a second time to ensure they'll never be saved again and his actions remain undone.
- He attempted to kill all the Extinctables by feeding them to his Cyclops.
- When he failed in his schemes, he planned to start over and over again until he finally wipes out all of the Flummels.
- While being held by Ernest Shackleton, he attempted to manipulate his huskies to usurped him whom they are viciously loyal to.
- Overall, he has no redeeming qualities.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He has a few comedic moments such as having a pretty comedic defeat where his owner made him sit, roll over and play dead, then sent back to the 1915 Antartic where he presumably gets attacked by Ernest Shackleton's huskies for suggesting to betray their master or falling off a cliff while screaming "I hate you all!!" during the final battle and getting pricked a lot by a bunch of cactuses while chasing the main protagonists.
