You are fearless. You will defeat anyone who stands in your way. A warrior from the northern kingdom heard of the giant and vowed to slay him. He painted tatau on his body and took power from the land of the dead. And when he was ready, he walked the path of the lotus pond. The giant rose from the still waters. You are strong. Powerful. Fight! And the warrior raised his dagger. He cut the giant's head clean off it's body. The skull of the giant fell to earth and became our island. The descendants of the warrior became the Rakyat, our people.
~ Citra to Jason Brody.

Citra Talugmai-Montenegro is a major character of the 2012 video game Far Cry 3 and the main antagonist of the Far Cry 6 DLC - Vaas: Insanity. She is the mentally unstable and deeply fanatical leader of the Rakyat and the older sister of Vaas Montenegro.

She was voiced by Faye Kingslee.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • When she became the leader of the Rakyat, she began to corrupt her brother Vaas, forcing him to kill people on her behalf, which resulted in Vaas becoming traumatized and mentally unstable as a result.
  • She never loved or respected Vaas, and only used him for her own self-serving reasons.
    • This included forcing Vaas to commit incest with her in an attempt to give birth to strong offspring, unaffected by the outside world.
  • Although she partially helped Jason "gain power," becoming strong enough to free the Rook Islands from the Pirates' and Hoyt's control and save his friends, she only did this so Jason would kill Vaas for his "betrayal," even though Vaas never actually betrayed her and simply wanted to be free from her abuse.
  • After Jason killed Vaas and Hoyt, she ordered her people to kidnap Jason's friends and kill Dr. Earnhardt.
  • In the game's climax, she tries to convince Jason to stay with her on the island and kill his friends.
  • In "Join Citra" Ending, if Jason chooses to side with Citra and slashes his friends' throats, she rewards him with sex, before stabbing him in the heart. killing him. As Jason dies, she states that their child will grow up to be a great warrior. This implies that Citra's goal was always to manipulate Jason for the purpose of giving birth to a successor, much like she tried to do with her brother (and presumedly other men).

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • In the "Save Your Friends" Ending, where Jason chooses to spare his friends' lives and rejects Citra's advances, Dennis attempts to kill him in a fit of rage. Citra, however, sacrifices herself by shielding Jason with her body, taking the full force of Dennis' blade and saving Jason's life. By doing this, she showed that her love for Jason was somewhat genuine.
    • Her death is played for sympathy, as she dies in Jason's arms and uses her final words to reaffirm her love for him.
