Chester V is the main antagonist of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
He was the founder and CEO of Live Corp (coincidentally known as Evil Corp) and also Flint Lockwood's arch-nemesis and former idol. At first, Chester comes to the rescue of all of Swallow Falls' population by relocating to them to San Franjose while Live Corp tries to clean up the island, but it later turns out that what Chester truly wants is Flint's FLDSMDFR to make new food products, even though the machine is now pivotal for the Foodimals it created.
He was voiced by Will Forte.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He sent a team to Swallow Falls to find the FLDSMDFR, and when the team was killed by the Foodimals protecting the FLDMSDFR, he just kept sending more teams until twenty-five teams were sent and they were down to only one team left, only objecting to sending the last team because they would have no teams left.
- Assuming that each team has at least two members, this means that Chester V was responsible for the deaths of at least fifty of his minions, something he has no remorse for.
- He constantly mistreated his ape assistant Barb by intentionally calling her a monkey despite knowing she's annoyed by it.
- He tricked Flint Lockwood into helping him retrieve the FLDSMDFR under the pretense of him saving the world from the Foodimals, and when Flint brought his friends onto the journey against his instructions, Chester manipulated him into turning against them.
- When he revealed his true nature to Flint, he pushed him to his death to the river, to which Foodimals had to rescue him to keep him alive.
- He tried to kill all of the Foodimals in Swallow Falls and turn them into Food Bar 8.0's for profit, despite knowing they are sapient since Sam called them "living creatures" and he admitted that they are hard to catch since "they hide, they fight back, they wanna live," while also planning on using the FLDMSDFR to continuously create Foodimals to keep slaughtering them.
- He attempted to turn Flint's friends into food bars and make him watch, claiming he would only spare them if Flint dropped his cans of Spray-on Shoes, but when Flint complied, Chester V went back on the promise because he "can't leave any witnesses," and when Barb hesitated due to having thought he was bluffing, he coldly fired her while calling her a monkey again.
- It's also possible he was planning on selling the food bars made with them, making him responsible for near-enforced cannibalism.
- While he does mention being bullied as a child, this does not make him tragic due to his actions and it is not played for sympathy, especially since he admitted he would like to crush his bullies with his success.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- His defeat is played for laughs, as it involves him believing his holographic clones could save him from falling, only for them to disappear and him to say "oh fudge," as well as his last words (ironically) being "I saved myself!" before getting eaten by a cheesespider.
