His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He murdered the real Sheriff Hoyt to protect Leatherface and stole his identity.
- He disposed the remains of Sheriff Hoyt by butchering him for meat that the Hewitt family can eat.
- He convinced the rest of the Hewitt family to begin murdering and cannibalizing outsiders to survive.
- He murdered Alex with a shotgun.
- He tortured Dean and Eric by spraying them with water and nearly suffocating Eric with a plastic bag.
- He said he will let Dean go if they can do 10 push-ups while Hoyt beat him. Dean succeeded but collapses from exhaustion with Hoyt leaving him on the ground.
- He sent Eric to be tortured by Leatherface as revenge for Eric insulting him.
- He raped Bailey.
- He showed little concern when his uncle Monty was shot in the leg, outright scolding him, thinking he shot himself playing with guns.
- He encouraged Leatherface to murder Holden, assuring him that murdering humans is no different than killing animals for the slaughterhouse.
- He had Leatherface needlessly amputate Monty's injured leg, despite both Monty and Luda Mae protesting to this. Leatherface accidentally nicked Monty's other leg, so Hoyt had him needlessly amputate that as well.
- He led the Hewitt family in murdering people from 1979 to 1983, resulting in 33 deaths.
- He is heavily implied to be the one who raped the female hitchhiker in the 2003 film.
- He made tasteless necrophiliac jokes while retrieving the hitchhiker's body and implied that he himself has a history of necrophilia.
- He forced Morgan to recreate a suicide in a sadistic fashion.
- He smashes a bottle into Morgan's face and knocks his front teeth out.
- He showed little care for his family. He spends much of his screentime with his mother, Luda Mae, arguing with her, and only seemed to get along with Leatherface.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He had a mutually loving relationship with Leatherface, as he killed the real Sheriff Hoyt to protect Leatherface and defended him when Hoyt insulted him. He also cheered Leatherface on while he was killing Holden, and Leatherface is the only person Charlie is seen interacting positively with.
