Near Pure Evils who are successful by winning against a hero or by finishing their goal. That said, it's still possible for them to fail later on if they do not accomplish all of their goals.

Overall, they are the opposite of incompetent characters due to the fact those characters usually lose to a hero beating them or by failing their goal.

They can also fall under posthumous if Near Pure Evils are killed while still succeeding in their plans.
