~ Simon Fitzgerald reflecting on his killing spree.
Ultron: Had to kill the other guy... he was a good guy...
Steve Rogers: You killed someone?
Ultron: Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world, we're faced with ugly choices...
~ Ultron showing slight, but genuine regret as he reveals that he destroyed J.A.R.V.I.S.

Near Pure Evils who show genuine remorse over one or more of their actions. Since they can't feel too much remorse, many examples of Remorseful Near Pure Evils only feel remorse for a few specific actions they commit instead of feeling remorse for their actions in general. Examples include Superman, Kai Chisaki, Tiffany Valentine, Sozin, Hiro Shishigami, Ultron, Eddie Low, Marcus Pierce, The Count, and Grant Ward.

For Near Pure Evils who feign remorse, see Remorse Fakers.

Their good counterparts have a huge degree of remorse, despite their actions never being evil.

The remorse of a Near Pure Evil villain has to be as minimal as possible for the villain to qualify, as often remorse from a villain can imply they want to change for the better and in some cases, may lead to a full redemption.
