Protective

Near Pure Evils who are shown to care for the life and/or wellbeing of somebody else for a genuinely altruistic reason, which is often the reason why they are not Pure Evil. However, some of them can still be psychopaths, because being protective towards certain individuals doesn't always contradict lack of empathy toward everyone else. In fact, in some cases, their protectiveness of the ones they love most can cause such a villain to completely lose control of their chaotic rage should they lose them.

Example of protective villains include Oh Il-nam, Marcel, Penguin, Mother Miranda, Mark Hoffman, Lalo Salamanca, Nancy Loomis, Director Kakuzawa, Frau Engel, Mama Bear and Papa Bear.

Note: There is no limit over how many people a Near Pure Evil can be protective of, and it doesn't matter whether those people are Pure Good, Pure Evil, or anywhere in between. However, their protectiveness needs to be considered rare in all of their screentime, and losing their loved ones should not cause them to be sad for more than a brief moment nor motivate them to stop being evil, otherwise they cannot be on this wiki.
