Masterminds are geniuses among geniuses. Near Pure Evils who are the smartest beings but tend to be weak most times, however, mustn't be underestimated because are very hard to take down or catch because of their schemes.

Near Pure Evil Masterminds are considered very dangerous villains to deal with because they are exceptionally intelligent and sophisticated at the level of Pure Evil Mastermind, and the opposite of Masterminds are Dimwits, and Near Pure Evils that correspond to Dimwits can never be Masterminds.

Examples: Dr. Eggman, Douma, Lord Shen, and Dawn Bellwether.
