Near Pure Evils whose physical appearances resemble humans (bipedal locomotion, opposable thumbs, etc.) without actually being humans themselves. This specifically refers to physical appearance and differs, but is related, to anthropomorphism.
Essentially, humanoid characters are anthropomorphic (physically), but anthropomorphic characters can be humanoid.
Note: Humanoid characters possess human-like physical attributes, making them Anthropomorphic in nature. However, anthropomorphic characters can, but don’t have to, resemble humans physically; they can embody mental human-like traits or behaviors while being of different physical forms. Humanoid animals, objects, and other non-human beings can also fall under both categories. For instance, a humanoid animal is both anthropomorphic physically and falls under the humanoid category by having human-like bodies, standing upright, and having opposable thumbs, while maintaining their animalistic forms (e.g., Bowser). General humanoid characters may specifically resemble humans more closely (such as Superman), but certain humanoid characters, such as animals and other beings, can have distinctive non-human forms with human-like characteristics.
