Crash, Coco. Remember, it is not only Dr. Cortex that we battle. Beware of Uka Uka my children; he is a far more dangerous enemy than anyone can imagine.
~ Aku Aku warning Crash and Coco about how dangerous Uka Uka is.
Luigi: Well, I haven't seen as half as bad I-
Conquest: Oh, you don't know the half of it.
~ Conquest ready to discuss to Luigi who Dust Man really is.
Start prayin', boy.
~ Red Engineer before disabling the respawn.

Near Pure Evils who are responsible for a contrasting dark shift in tone in the story through their actions. For example, a serial killer appearing in a children's show. When these villains appear, they are presented as dark and edgy. If the story already sets a serious tone, they don't count.

This category should only include villains who belong to a lighthearted and comic story, and who with their presence change the tone of the story, also if there's already one it's much harder to have another one since their tone presence may not clash enough with the tone to count.

This category does not include villains that are too Laughably Evil since this lessen how threatening they are, they can only count as both as long as they're still treated almost completely seriously and as a threat.

They are the evil counterparts of Seriously Good Near Pure Goods, and the complete opposite of Comic Relief Near Pure Goods.

Good examples include King Sombra, The Chief, Lord Shen, Dark Danny, Hopper, Killian, Akainu, Iron-Masked Marauder, Kostas Becker and Negativitron.
