ā€œ Cybertron, you were saved... at last! ā€ž
~ Megatron watches as his home planet of Cybertron, the place he so desperately wants to preserve, appears in Earth's orbit.
ā€œ Harry: Mom, I don't... What did I just do?
Venom (Imitating Harry's mother's voice): Don't be scared Honey, We finally have the power to do what we always wanted! We're going to heal the world.
Harry: How?
Venom: Let me show you. We're going to heal
everyone.
ā€ž
~ The symbiote showing Harry Osborn that they will "heal" the world together.
ā€œ Open your eyes Chuck! Do you have any idea how many people are infected in this country? Doctors, politicians, CEOs. Some of our country's best are infected! Even your little girl, Chuck... What would happen with your cute little time bomb if she didn't get her drug? Fortune City was a small price to pay to ensure our country's way of life. ā€ž
~ Raymond Sullivan's motive rant, as he claims that the various zombie outbreaks were necessary to preserve the production of the Zombrex drug.

While Near Pure Evils are usually in it for themselves, delusional, or just seek to destroy/oppress others, a few of them can commit their actions for good intentions.

Keep in mind that the Near Pure Evil's extremism has to be minor and not treated with too much sympathy for them to qualify and far less beneficial in execution or it may lead them to the Grey Zone and/or Anti-Villain territories, or in some cases full redemption which would make them Inconsistently Heinous instead. In all three cases, the villain in question would be too virtuous to qualify as Near Pure Evil; consequently, this category must be treated with caution.

Good examples are General M. Bison, Bishop Mozgus, Ra's al Ghul, President Koopa, Sargeras, Mael Stronghart, Lumiya, Ares, Bolivar Trask, Charles zi Britannia, Megatron, Danzō Shimura, Osmund Saddler, Raymond Sullivan, Jeff Riggs, Ammit, Colonel McCullough, Venom, The Batter, Izanami, Zovaal, and Dr. Reiner.

These villains are usually associated with the Lawful Evil alignment, because they can often be honorable and fight for a cause that they are loyal to. However, there are also many that count as Chaotic Evil, if they believe in chaos and/or destruction for the greater good (e.g., Joker (Dennis O'Neil) and The End (Japanese dub) respectively). Neutral Evil, of all evil alignments, is the least likely alignment to fall under this, but some extremists can be this (e.g.,Toffee and Patience St. Pim).

NOTE: Do NOT add NPEs of the Not-So Well Intentioned Extremist type who commit horrible acts out of their own twisted, debased, hypocritical, delusional, misguided and self-serving causes, they should go under Delusional, Terrorists, Vengeful, and/or Jingoists. They may lie, subvert, doubtfully claim or even erroneous sincerely believe that they have good intentions, but their goals are nowhere close to noble (e.g. Thanos, Baek Jun Ki, Old Iron, Akainu, Cameron Henry, Light Yagami, Bradford Buzzard, Dr. Phillium Benedict, Adam Taurus, Nicholai Ginovaef, Bluey, John Wade, Antón Castillo, Oswell E. Spencer, Adam and Screenslaver).
