Near Pure Evils who really show how villainous they truly are by harshly treating their henchmen and at times even murdering some of them due to being able to do or because their henchmen have let them down. Such acts can cause the henchmen to even redeem.

Their good opposites are Benevolent Bosses.

Examples of NPEs that are good/benevolent bosses: Kars, Bane, Carmilla, Nine, Charles F. Muntz and Wayne Bailey. This can be what their redeeming quality is or that their benevolence is for pragmatic/self-serving reasons.
