Near Pure Evils who have way too much pride in themselves. Occasionally they tend to deny defeat, and their arrogance can be a source of their downfall or their plans being thwarted. Their good counterparts have a small percentage of cockiness, and their good opposites lack self-confidence or esteem.

NOTE: Don't confuse them with Egotists. The difference between arrogant characters and egotists is that egotists while both have an extreme sense of self-pride, egotists are too concerned with themselves to pay any mind to others, whereas arrogant villains seriously doubt the capabilities of anyone but themselves. Though they are not mutually exclusive and can overlap if they have an extreme sense of self pride and seriously doubt the capabilities of everyone else.
