Adaptational Near Pure Evils

Villains who are not Near Pure Evil in the original work they come from but are Near Pure Evil in newer adaptations. This includes:

• Villains who were Pure Evil in the original but their actions were toned down and/or were given some sympathy in the adaptation (i.e. such as Michael Myers, Prince Humperdinck (film), Cletus Kasady, Ultron, Osmund Saddler (2023), Light Yagami (Anime), Glitchtrap and Scar).
• Villains not Near Pure Evil in the original work (i.e Byron Hadley, Joker, Scorpion, Ursula and Erik Killmonger).
  • This also includes Near Pure Evils who were heroes, or potentially even Pure Good in their original work (i.e Injustice Superman, Santa Claus and Adam).
  • This can also apply to villains who are Near Pure Evil in fan-fictions or fanon works but not Near Pure Evil in the work they originate from (i.e. Dr. Wily, William Afton, Flowey, Mari, Boscha and Dust Man).

For obvious reasons, please note that this does not apply to villains who are already Near Pure Evil in their original versions.
