Cat R. Waul is the main antagonist of An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, the first sequel to the classic An American Tail. He is the leader of the Cactus Cat Gang and Fievel's second arch-nemesis.
He was voiced by John Cleese.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- At the beginning, he has his gang attack the mice, telling them to cause plenty of violence but no eating.
- After the mice entered into the sewers, he uses a mouse puppet to trick them into going to a town in the old west, plotting to meet them and pretend to be nice to them for a while before killing them and turning them into mouseburgers there.
- When he discovers that Fievel has caught on to his plan, he pretends to let him go only to have Chula chase after him and send him flying off the train.
- After the mice have arrived to the town, he has them do labor, having them build some of the town by themselves.
- When he spots Fievel in his saloon bar, he catches him and attempts to kill him by devouring him only being stopped when he hears Tanya sing.
- After the mice have finished building the town, he has tricks them into getting on his mouse trap so that he could activate it in an attempt to kill them all and turn them into mouseburgers.
- When Fievel, Wiley Burp, and Tiger try to stop him, he has his henchmen try to kill them. When the mice escape the trap, he attempts to kill them another way by shooting a gun at them.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He has some comedic moments, but throughout the film’s climax however don’t detract him from how serious his villainy is.
- He genuinely cares for Tanya, so much so that he got distracted with his plan.
