My organization has been hit by an unpleasant cancer, than can only be removed from the gut, if you get my drift.
~ Carl Ingram to a disguised 47, placing a contract on Arthur Edwards

Carl Ingram is one of the Partners of Providence and a major antagonist in the Hitman video game series, serving as one of three unseen overaching antagonists of Hitman: Codename 47 (alongside Alexa Carlisle and Marcus Stuyvesant), and one of the three secondary antagonists of the World Of Assassination trilogy, where he would be a background antagonist in HITMAN, one of three main antagonists of HITMAN 2, and one of three secondary antagonists of HITMAN III, where he would be one of the targets of the game's first mission, "On Top Of The World".

He was voiced by Kerry Shale, who also voiced Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer in the same series.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Used Providence to commit crimes for decades, causing many of the events in the series to take place.
  • Oversaw Silvio Caruso's virus development in Sapienza and intended to use it as a bioweapon.
  • Oversaw Reza Zaydan's attempted military coup in Morocco.
  • Contacted Erich Soders and had him betray the ICA by offering him in exchange the advanced technology of Providence to heal his "situs inversus".
  • Orchestrated the assassinations of several members of Lucas Grey's private militia.
  • When Janus died and his funeral was taking place at the Isle of Sgail, he sent the Constant, Arthur Edwards there and ordered him to inject himself a poison chip in his neck so the Washington twins would be able to kill him thanks of killing-switches if he was to betray them.
  • When Edwards was kidnapped and eventually ratted them out, they faked their deaths and acquired new identities thanks to Haven and fled into the Burj al-Ghazali skyscraper in Dubai.
  • If 47 meets with Carl while disguised as Kazem, he will order him to "silence" a journalist who was bothering him and will put a contract on Edwards' for betraying him.
  • If 47 manages to trigger a meeting between Grey and the two Partners, they will hypocritically blame him for causing more damage than they did, while they're responsible for why Grey wants to avenge himself for ruining his life and that of countless of people.
  • While he has a comedic moment where 47 can kill him by making him fall over a loose railing, it's too brief to distract him from his villainy, and he is taken seriously all the time.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He can be genuinely affable on some special occasions, but not all the time.
  • He may care for his sons, both biological and adpoted as he is considering making his adopted son a partner for providence as his successor.
