Captain Mutiny is a major antagonist in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, serving as the main antagonist of The Lost Galaxy Arc.
He's a space pirate who seeks to enslave the populace of Terra Ventura and escape the Lost Galaxy in order to conquer the universe.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He took over the Lost Galaxy, enslaving the people to mine treasures for him. It's made even worse there are skeletons in his ship Titanisaur, indicating he works his slaves to death or killed them for defiance.
- Tries to manipulate the Terra Venture crew so he can enslave them too and plunder everything inside it.
- Tries to force them into servitude by unleashing his deadly monster Grunchor.
- Distracts the rangers with another monster so Grunchor could escape.
- Allows Deviot to join his crew in spite of his treacherous nature and didn't seem to care that Deviot killed his monster. His only reluctance is fear for what Trakeena might do to him if she finds out rather than any standards.
- Took down several of their megazords (although they survived) so he can fuse his castle with Grunchor.
- Wants to kill Leo and Damon himself after his forces capture them.
- With Hexuba, he traps the rangers in another dimension in order to be unopposed. Then he has her revive previously defeated monsters to kill them when that fails.
- Unleashes the Titanisaur on the rangers, destroying all four of their megazords and having him rip off one of their arms.
- In revenge for his failures, he tries to follow the Terra Venture into the main galaxy to kill the rangers and everyone onboard and conquer the universe himself.
- Does not really care for his crew outside of being carriers of his plans. Even his relationship with his general Barbarax is strictly professional.
- He has occasionally even physically abused some when they fail him or other reasons.
- While having less screen time than Trakeena and Deviot before being killed by the former quickly and anti-climatically, he is a dark and serious enemy from start to finish, without comedic or redeeming traits, and his death is neither played for laughs or sympathy.
- Though the heinous standard of Power Rangers is high, Mutiny has lower resources due to being a space pirate.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- His body count of killed or worked to death slaves are somewhat fridge horror due to being implied and off-screen without too much in-story impact beyond threatening the Terra Venture throughout its stay. But since the slavery itself is not ambiguous and the skeletons are still shown, it's only a minor prevention.
Trivia[]
- He is the first Power Rangers NPE to appear.
