“ | Greetings, sub-life-forms of Earth. I am Captain Mozar of the Triceraton Empire. Let it be known, your planet is infested with Kraang an insidious alien bent on mutating Earth into their own home world. We Triceratons will eliminate these hideous aliens, freeing you of their vile plans. Unfortunately, your Earth will be annihilated as well. That is all. And, please, have a nice day. | „ |

Captain Mozar, or simply Mozar, is a major antagonist of the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
He serves as the final antagonist of Season 3, specifically being the overarching antagonist of “Dinosaur in Sewers”, the main antagonist of “Annihilation: Earth” and the Turtles in Space arc and a posthumous antagonist for the rest of the series.
He is the commander-in-chief of the Triceraton army and the loyal right-hand to Emperor Zanmoran, who is actually worse than him.
He was voiced by Michael Dorn.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
Original Timeline[]
- Was responsible for the deaths of Kraang Prime and nearly the entire Utrom race by ordering the Technodrome's destruction. And even though Kraang Prime deserved it for everything he's done, it wasn't out of righteousness, but out of pure revenge.
- Traps many of the Turtles friends in the fight before.
- Kidnaps Michaelangelo and takes him to the Triceraton mothership, to which he has him put into the Psionic Extractor, which will cut, slice, dice and remove his psyche from his brain to get information, all in all, horribly mind-rape him, despite pleas from a Triceraton soldier that it is only meant for their worst criminals, but Mozar does it anyway and threatens that soldier.
- When the extraction comedically fails, he orders Mikey killed.
- Destroyed the Earth completely in the original timeline to which Fugitoid, who rescued the Turtles, April and Casey, had to go back in time to prevent this.
Reversed Timeline[]
- Ordered the Ulixes destruction to which it ended up crashing on a moon with a thundra climate and crash a Salamandrian ship, containing Sal Commander and Mona Lisa.
- When in Xaava-Dal, even with warning that his negative behavior is just caused due to the planet's atmosphere, Mozar repeatedly threatens to kill Zoran and Zorin.
- After getting the first piece of the Black Hole Generator, he seals the Turtles in the building to kill them. He even attempted to leave them all on the planet despite being aware of its corruptive atmosphere.
- When the Turtles entered the Triceraton Mothership, he attempted to slowly suffocating them by slowly opening an airlock he trapped them in to watch them suffer. When the Turtles used a trick taught by Master Splinter that decreases their need for oxygen, he opens it to finish them off quickly until Zanmoran interferes so he can have them fight in the arena.
- When he finds the Ulixes again, he infects the ship with the Skeevax virus, despite another Triceraton told that it is an illegal bioweapon in 2000-star systems to which he threatens to toss him out to space.
- He sacrifices many of his Raptor Pilots, outright telling "failing me means failing to live".
- He has sent planet-destroying missiles at a dwarf star to kill Tokka. She was presumably killed until 9 episodes later.
- He coldly betrays Lord Dregg by ejecting him to space despite bringing him the final black hole generator and he was willing to honor their deal, although for the wrong reasons, just because he deemed him expendable and no longer useful to him.
- Attempted to destroy the Earth again sadistically when he realizes that he has won in another timeline and the Turtles travelled back in time to prevent it.
- When the detonator was destroyed, he attempts to destroy New York City and set off the Blackhole Generator until Fugitoid blew up the Mothership and kills him.
- Despite his tragic backstory of his planet being destroyed by the Kraang, it doesn't justify his actions for the following reasons:
- While he wants to destroy Earth to wipe out the Kraang, it should be noted that he knows humans hate the Kraang also and was willing to destroy them. While he talks about how the humans pollute their planet, it is obvious it is just a desperate attempt for him to justify his own actions.
- Unlike his master, he doesn't care about his people, threatening them with death if they fail him every episode and even outright telling that failing him means failing to live. This negates the tragedy even more.
- With these 2 points in mind, the story doesn't attempt to sympathize with Mozar either.
- Overall, for a top official within one of the most honorable empires in the universe, Mozar frequently violates the Triceraton's honorable standards, from using illegally using a mind-rape machines reserved only for their worst criminals, to using illegal bioweapons and finally, allying with what the Empire considers criminals before double-crossing said criminals, and as told frequently, follows through his threat on killing his men for he slightest of reasons, whether be failure or just questioning him.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- While he is a very dishonorable Triceraton who regularly violates the Triceraton standards of honor for his goals, Mozar has displayed in some occasions that he isn't devoid of it entirely:
- He's genuinely loyal to his master, Zanmoran, letting Fugitoid go to save the Emperor's life, and despite brief hesitation, was willing to obey him when he asked him to free them from the airlock he trapped the Turtles in to have them fight in the arena, which he could have refused in favor of having them killed especially considering that they were already becoming a nuisance to his plans, which also ultimately shows how loyal he is to his master.
- Gives the Turtles, April, Casey and Fugitoid a 3 nexton head-start out of honorable intent when they refused to surrender the Blackhole Generator.
- He spares the heroes when he stole the first 2 pieces of the Blackhole Generator from them despite his previous intentions of obliterating them.
Trivia[]
- This is easily the darkest incarnation of Commander Mozar to date.
