Caecilius Metellus is one of the main antagonists (along with Tiberius Livius) in Celtic Kings: Rage of War, Return to the Throne scenario. He was a commander of the Roman legions who, with his companion Tiberius Livius, killed the governor of Apollonia and usurped his throne.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close To Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He and Tiberius Livius plot to kill the governor of Apollonia and seize his throne and power.
  • They killed the governor, Caecilius gains the throne, the city of Apollonia is his, and Tiberius Livius receives the neighboring territories.
  • He exiles the murdered governor's son, Camelius, and then hires Teutonic assassins to kill him.
  • The assassins attack the village of Ledobyt, almost causing the death of innocent people.
  • He is completely withdrawn and uninterested in the fate of the city's inhabitants. In the background, he plans how he can acquire the territories of his companion, Tiberius Livius, and kill him.
  • He orders that no one can enter the city of Apollonia except those who have permission. He orders his soldiers and Tiberius that anyone who goes near the city, regardless of age or gender, is to be killed mercilessly by his soldiers.
  • He hires Gauls, Viking warriors, Liberatus gladiators, and allies himself with a sadistic, mad druid to create chaos and terror in the lands of Tiberius Livius.
  • The hordes of paid barbarians and gladiator mercenaries attempt to assassinate military leaders, attack civilians, and besiege the city of Atia, all without success.
  • After Camelius returns and everyone in Apollonia turns against him, he and his remaining mercenary gladiators want to kill everyone in the city, including civilians.
  • After his death, the mad druid wants to take over the city of Apollonia and kill everyone, which can also be linked to his crimes, because the druid was only loyal to him.
  • He has no redeeming qualities and has never had any regrets.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]

  • His actions are very cruel and have no redeeming qualities, he does not exceed the heinous standard of the story because he fall under Milred and Dunra.
