Humanity... has proven itself to be quite adept at making mistakes. Ha! Hell it's the only thing we truly excel at.
~ Brock, showing his misanthropic world views towards Frank.

Brock Mason is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Dr. Russell Barnaby) of the 2006 video game Dead Rising. He is the commander of a military Special Forces unit sent to cover up the incident made in Santa Cabeza by eliminating the zombies and killing any spotted survivors.

He was voiced by Gregg Berger in the original and by Bill Millsap in the Deluxe Remaster version, the latter who also voices Prosciutto in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He commanded the Santa Cabeza cleanup operation, which involved massacring nearly everyone in that town, unintentionally leaving only Isabela and Carlito alive.
  • He led another operation for a cleanup in Willamette with the intent to take out everyone there regardless of whether any of them are zombies or not.
  • After discovering Frank and Isabela, he ambushes them by crashing his tank into theirs before holding Frank at gunpoint while remorselessly revealing his involvement and the sadistic thrills he took in it and his actions along with his nihilistic views on humanity.
  • When Frank stopped him, Brock engages in battle with him in an attempt to kill him only to end up being defeated and fed to the zombies by Frank himself.
  • While in the comic Road to Fortune it's mentioned that a fellow SpecOps commander John Kilduff regarded Brock as a good friend and was even proud to serve with him, it's never mentioned if Brock respected him in return.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He fails the Heinous Standards to both the Keyes siblings and TK, who killed more people in worse ways with lower resources than Brock.
