Together, my cadets, we shall oversee the creation of legions that ensure the Empire lives forever.
~ Brendol Hux to his cadets.

Commandant Brendol Hux is a supporting antagonist in the Star Wars franchise.

He is a powerful officer in both the Empire and later the First Order, as well as the father of Armitage Hux.

In The Mandalorian, he was portrayed by Brian Gleeson.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He was physically and psychologically abusive to his son Armitage just for being his illegitimate child, leading to the latter's rise to villainy.
  • He repeatedly had loyal Imperial cadets killed during his time as headmaster of the Imperial academy of Arkanis for being "weak" (by other students as a test).
  • He left his own wife to die on Arkanis when the New Republic invaded the planet.
  • He had thousands of children throughout the galaxy kidnapped and brainwashed into becoming mindless killers.
  • He bombarded the planet of Parnassos after escaping it as a show of power towards Captain Phasma.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He slightly fails the in-story heinous standards to Armitage Hux himself, as he simply influenced him rather than actually assisting or ordering him to do anything.
  • He is completely loyal to Emperor Palpatine and the Galactic Empire, given his dedication and desire to create deeply loyal Stormtroopers and thus improve the Imperial army.
  • He admired the combat prowess and devotion of both the Clone Troopers and the Jedi Order during his youth in the Clone Wars (although still sadistically, as he approved of how they were raised from infancy to be trained as soldiers and warriors).
