His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Joined the Nabazov Liberation Cult after he got cured and nearly killed from a lethal disease because he thought that plagues were an expression of the will of some unknowable yet welcoming deity, he also wanted to help Oybek spread the virus worldwide.
- After Oybek Nabazov died, he was a sleeper agent and his job was to make sure to hinder the C.D.C's (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) efforts to combat & control the virus, if that happened it would have severe consequences if the virus was spread worldwide if Oybek or Owen Cage released it into the world which would be an omnicide happening and the CDC couldn’t do shit about it.
- Went to the militia farm in Colorado under the guise of being a medical doctor where he experimented on 4 innocent soldiers by infecting them with the deadly Nabazov virus to test its efficiency, which makes Agent 47 forcefully have to take them down as well as him.
- It’s implied the virus would also spread throughout the farm too or beyond it as the virus was described as being extremely infectious and lethal.
- If the alarm goes off or he discovers all the infected soldiers are dead, he will run away to his car and leave making him a coward.
- He refers to his victims as more like lab animals rather than actual people.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Due to this being a “sniper mission”, Paine really isn’t characterized enough nor has enough screentime to be PE as you only see him from the top of a tower and he has no dialogue whatsoever, however as he has a personality and motive, he has enough to not be a Generic Doomsday Villain.
- His worst acts is under Nabazov's orders so he fails the heinous standard to him, while everything else on his own accord isn't enough to pass.
