NOTE: This article is specifically about the Bloody Mary who appears in Telltale's The Wolf Among Us video game, as the Bloody Mary of the Fables comics was not voted Near Pure Evil. Thus only the video game counterpart of her crimes should be listed here.

Some of them, they think it's funny to have their little sleepovers and go into their little bathrooms and say my name five times in the mirror. They find it less funny when I actually show up and feed their lungs to the family dog. Arf!
~ Bloody Mary.
*tut tut tut* Didn't your mother ever teach you manners? Or was she too busy f*cking whatever breeze drifted through town?
~ Bloody Mary provokes Bigby.

Bloody Mary is the secondary antagonist of Telltale's 2013 game The Wolf Among Us, being the main antagonist of third episode "A Crooked Mile", and the secondary antagonist of fourth and fifth episodes "In Sheep's Clothing" and "Cry Wolf".

She is a sadistic murderer who longs to find ways to continue murdering as she pleases. As the Crooked Man’s primary enforcer, she acts as his ace in the hole when he wants to guarantee a job gets done or there's a person that needs to die.

She is voiced by Kat Cressida.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She is the Crooked Man's primary enforcer and is often employed when her boss wishes someone dead. In return for her loyalty, he enables her to murder as she pleases. While she is always loyal to him, this is mostly because "she finds it fun", as being described in the Book of Fables.
  • Her nickname "Bloody Mary" is derived from how she likes to brutally kill human children who summon her and then mutilates their corpses (as implied by her remarks of "feeding their lungs to the family dog").
  • She and the other henchmen manipulated their way into Johann's Butcher shop by taking advantage of his kindness and allowing them to hang out in the freezer room during a massive heatwave. Once inside, they analyzed their surroundings and planned to convert the freezer into a sweatshop for their black market magic trafficking.
    • When Johann discovered their true intentions, they threatened to kill him if he ever confessed their plans to the Fabletown government. To add insult to injury, they kept Johann as their look-out to warn them should law enforcement arrive to investigate, while keeping his failing business as a front to hide their real plans.
  • She leaves a very eerie and threating voice message for Crane to pay back the Crooked Man or else he'd have to deal with her making "a house call".
  • Mary first appears along with the Tweedles at the Pudding & Pie, and threatens Bigby and Snow to concede Ichabod Crane over to her unless they wished to face her wrath. When her threats fail, She then attempts to intimidate them by revealing her name to be Bloody Mary, an infamous urban legend to humans and a child killer.
    • She further showcases her depravity by nonchalantly describing her killings as a hobby to do in her free time.
  • When Bigby refuses to concede Crane, she orders the Tweedle brothers to gun-down Bigby.
  • During Bigby's fight with the Tweedles, Mary refuses to intervene once and stands idly by, watching as Bigby decimates the Tweedles. Even smiling with sadistic glee if Bigby kills Tweedle Dum.
    • When Mary does finally intervene, it's only after Bigby has already won the fight (and optionally killed Tweedle Dum). During which, she critically wounds Bigby by shooting him in the back with a silver bullet and nearly-decapitates him with the Woodsman's stolen axe. Only stopping once Snow offers to concede Crane in exchange for her sparing their lives.
  • While Mary does follow the Crooked Man's order in taking Crane and sparing Bigby's life, it was likely done pragmatically to keep her at good standing with the Crooked Man.
  • Once Snow concedes Crane, Mary taunts Bigby and Snow by revealing how wrong their suspicion of Crane being the killer was. She then promptly breaks Bigby's forearm before leaving and telling the two she'll "see them around."
  • As shown in Bigby's nightmare of Mary nearly killing him in it, the near-death encounter with Bloody Mary traumatized Bigby.
  • It's implied Mary tortured Crane shortly after taking him, as evidenced by his bloodied and battered coat.
  • When Bigby arrives at the Cut Above butcher shop, he discovers that Mary has converted the freezer into a sweatshop, complete with bloodied shackles for slave labor and dozens of raw materials. Bigby connects the evidence and discovers Mary is using the freezer for manufacturing illegal magical items to sell on the Crooked Man's black market.
  • When she's assisting Crane's escape from FableTown, she threatens him that should he disobey the Crooked Man she'll hunt him down and personally "deal with him [her] way." She then sadistically begs Crane to "please disobey".
  • She promptly hurts the magic mirror once she discovers she's being spied on by him.
  • She assists the Crooked Man in escaping from Bigby once the negotiations fail.
    • If Bigby chases after them, Mary will throw Bigby off the car. She then renders Bigby unconscious by ramming him with the car.
  • Before they fight, she provokes Bigby by insulting his mother.
  • She engages Bigby in a brutal fight where the two transform and unleash their monstrous true forms as the conflict escalates further. She nearly kills Bigby by overwhelming him with several dozen copies of herself as they each slice and cut his entire body. It took Bigby completely transforming into his true form to finally kill Mary once and for all.
  • She holds a reputation of infamy that knows no limits. Her employees like Beast, Jack and Johann comments on how uneasy "that mental nutcase" makes them feel. Even her own colleagues like The Tweedles and Jersey Devil recognize what an unpredictable and violent monster she is.
  • It's all but said that Mary holds no affinity for her allies. She willfully watches Bigby decimate the Tweedles, and she promptly abandons the henchmen to fight Bigby alone. She even intimidates Tweedle Dee when he told her so and even terrifies him when she challenges him to say her nickname.
  • While she may seem to hold some level of admiration for Bigby Wolf, she only admires his infamous reputation and the fear he used to unleash back in the Homelands.
  • While she makes a few insulting roasts, it's used to extenuate her sadism and depravity rather than comedy.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She suffers from too much Fridge Horror. It's never made clear just how many humans and children she murdered; nor is it known how dangerous the black market magic was or how horrible the slavery conditions were at the Cut Above. Granted as evidenced by the bloodied shackles, it's safe in presuming not very well. Furthermore, given Mary's overwhelming presence in the second half of the game, her infamous reputation and position as lead enforcer in the Crooked Man's gang, it's a minor prevention.
