Black Shadow is the main antagonist of the F-Zero series, serving as the main antagonist of most games in the series, and the central antagonist of F-Zero: GX. He is the arch-nemesis of Captain Falcon and the tyrannical ruler of the Dark Million Organization. He wishes to destroy and recreate the universe to where it is dominated by darkness and evil.

He was voiced by Jack Merluzzi.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?

• His ultimate goal is to destroy the universe, then recreate it to where it is ruled by evil and darkness.
• He is very sadistic, as he is constantly taunting his opponents in ways very threatening.
• He was the one who created Blood Falcon, making him responsible for everything he did.
• He tried to kill Captain Falcon in front of millions of people.
• It seems to be implied that he sabotaged the power plant in the Lightning Area, which was while Jody Summer was inside.
• While he seems loyal to Deathborn, this loyalty is out of fear, not care or respect, plus he was more so focused on his own agenda and they happened to have similar goals.
• While his ultimate fate of being banished to space, which is treated as a fate worse than death, was pretty harsh, he deserved it due to attempting to destroy everything and being mostly irredeemable, plus he helps Deathborn, the one who's putting people in such fates in the first place, making it even more well deserved.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?

• Despite being far more heinous than most F-Zero villains, he fails the Heinous Standards to Deathborn, who not only wanted to destroy the universe, but also put thousands, if not millions of people in fates worse than death.
• He has moments where he genuinely comes off as affable, as he sometimes compliments others for various reasons.

• Black Shadow is the only F-Zero villain to be Near Pure Evil.
