Benjamin Chudnofsky, later briefly known as Bloodnofsky, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Frank Scanlon) of the 2011 American superhero comedy film The Green Hornet. He's a ruthless russian gangster that ran all organized crime on L.A. before coming into conflict with the masked "criminal" known as the Green Hornet.
He was portrayed by Christoph Waltz, who also played Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds and Mandrake in Epic.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- As a crime boss, Chudnofsky is responsible for most organized crime on L.A. and claims to be responsible for the death of a thousand.
- Despite having some comedic moments, all of Chudnofsky's crimes are treated as serious and he himself is the major threat of the movie and is treated by all the characters as such.
- Made a deal with Frank Scanlon, where he killed James Reid's reporter for him so he could force Reid to use his newspaper to support his campaign as District Attorney and in exchange Scanlon let Chudnofsky do whatever he wanted on the streets.
- Chudnofsky used this deal to take over all the gangs on L.A., taking control of most organized crimes in the city.
- After James Reid broke the deal and published an article exposing the crimes that were happening, Chudnofsky threatened Scanlon, forcing him to kill Reid.
- After being insulted by a rival drug-dealing gangster, Chudnofsky killed four of his men and threatened him with his gun, forcing him to tell him that he's scary.
- Despite seemingly leaving him alive, he blew up the building shortly after leaving, killing his rival and possibly various other people.
- Following the destruction of one of his meth labs by the Green Hornet, Chudnofsky kills Mr. Tupper, one of his cooks, after he said that the Hornet was scarier than him.
- He later blames this on the Green Hornet despite being the one who killed him.
- Chudnofsky personally killed the Armenian gang after they mentioned the possibility of becoming independent from him after the arrival of the Hornet.
- He also personally killed Kim for saying the same, despite doing business with him for 25 years and being friends with him.
- Set up a trap for the Green Hornet and Kato by telling them to meet for business, but in reality he tried to bury them alive.
- After his henchman Chili was killed during the confrotation with the Hornet, he put a bounty of one million dollars for the Green Hornet.
- This led to an all-out crime war around L.A. and the death of countless people that were just wearing the color green.
- Chudnofsky was also shown participating in some of these murders.
- This led to an all-out crime war around L.A. and the death of countless people that were just wearing the color green.
- Killed Popeye, his most trusted henchman, only because he disagreed with his idea of becoming "Bloodnofsky".
- Made a deal with the Green Hornet so he could kill Britt Reid for Scanlon.
- Following the revelation of Britt Reid being the Green Hornet, Chudnofsky and his men chased him and Kato, trying to kill the duo, which resulted on his own death.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He seems to genuinely care about his henchman Chili, as he held a funeral for him and promised to get revenge on the Green Hornet for killing him.
- This is debatable as he does say he cares about some of his allies and men, but later doesn't hesitate on killing them himself.
- While all of his crimes and murders are treated as serious, he does have comedic moments that might detract from his villainy, mainly stemning from his fear of feeling obsolete following the arrival of a costumed criminal and becoming "Bloodnofsky".
