Ashur is a minor antagonist in Spartacus: God of the Arena, a major antagonist in Spartacus: Blood and Sands and one of the main antagonists in Spartacus: Vengeance. He was a Syrian (Assyrian) gladiator, later the right hand of Quintus Lentulus Batiatus and the leader of a mercenary team supporting Glaber at the beginning of Spartacus' rebellion.

What Make Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He kills his companion Indus.
- He and Dagan kill all the pigeons of Barca and Auctus and eat them.
- Dagan saves him, but he talks about himself as if he has won.
- He intentionally falsely translates Dagan’s language and offers him as a sex slave to a roman elite. (How was homosexual or bisexual).
- Pretending to surrender, he deceives Dagan and cuts out his right eye. He then shows off his "eyeball" sword and brags about how big a winner he is.
- In the final fight of the tournament he wants to throw Gannicus in the back with a spear and he wanted to give him a dishonest death.
- He deliberately traps Barka for Batiatus to kill him.
- He try to convince Batiatus to sell Crixus.
- At the command of Batiatus, he kills Magistrate Calavius and traps Solonius.
- He provokes Crixus by starting to caress Naevia.
- Because of him, Crixus was cruelly punished with a whip, he looking at the suffering of the gaul with a contented smile.
- He kill the pit master and kidnap Oenomaus and takes him to Glaber.
- He brutally tortured Oenomaus whith the whip and then begins to provoke that his wife was a slut.
- He kills Marcus and lies to Glaber that Spartacus did it.
- At Glaber's order, he and his unit kill everyone in Seppius' house.
- He leads the crucifixion of several servants.
- He crucified Marcia because she talked to Gannicus about Spartacus.
- He and his gang brutally kill several people, claiming they're looking for Glaber's wife. He hangs upside a man and hits his head against a wall and he pushes a knife into another man’s nose.
- He beats and rapes Lucretia multiple times.
- He deliberately fought Naevia to embarrass and torture before Crixus.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He really showed loyalty and respect to Batiatus and Glaber. Although he sometimes indicated that he disagreed with certain decisions (for example, when Batiatus spent 100 denarii on slaves), but he never showed any sign of disloyalty.
- He had a very minimally tragic character.
