Anxiety is the main antagonist of Object Towel Again.
As his name implies, he is the personification of anxiety, whose purpose is to destroy all that is living. Due to his disdain for them, he decided to start with destroying object shows, cancelling their worlds and making the hosts into his minions. In order to accomplish his goals, Anxiety seeks to obtain Glass Case Holder’s skull, and absorb it’s powers to grant him enough power to wipe out and destroy all worlds.
He is voiced by series creator Leo Friends.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- He is a chaotic organism that wants to destroy everything because it is in his nature to do so, going after objects shows first because he has a dislike for them. He does this through a process known as "cancellation", where he petrifies the world and its inhabitants into lifeless beings.
- When someone is cancelled, the victim's physical body will turn to stone and render them dead. The victim will also be unable to be recovered through normal means.
- Anxiety also seems to have no standards for who he won't cancel, as some of his victims include former allies and even children.
- The effects what being cancelled is like are seen later on in the finale of the season, with the victim trapped in a black purgatory-like void with nothing else inside except for their own mind, putting them in an "I Must Scream" situation.
- Anxiety is also shown to be very hostile towards other people, he is verbally abusive and insults many of the hosts and contestants, even calling Little Image an "accident", even though he is a child.
- While he was willing to spare the other hosts from some shows he has cancelled, he only did this because they had powers that would aid him in his path of destruction. He never shows any signs that he genuinely cares about them, even going out of his way to kill them when they go against him, showing that he only views them as expendable for their abilities.
- Although Object Towel is portrayed as a comedic series, Anxiety is taken completely seriously, especially in the series' final episodes.
Object Towel Again[]
- In the past, he was the cause of many Object Shows to be cancelled. He mentions a few shows he has cancelled such as BFBOI and Battle for Dream Planet. Many of the contestants were killed during this, with the survivors having to find safety and the hosts now having to work for him. It's also possible he had cancelled even more shows, but they were just not shown onscreen. Some of the survivors had even tried to fight him but had little success.
- According to Kill, he and his race have been trying to destroy him for decades, always failing each time.
- He gets the hosts to kidnap and hypnotize Red Minion to do their bidding for most of the series, who would then kill Sideways Cup and Gold Wall.
- He disguised himself as Leo and gives an orb which unbeknownst to the contestants would suck all of them into it, which didn't happen only because he was given the wrong one by Crystaly.
- He and the hosts then kidnap Kermit, Bob-omb, and a list of eight other people while in the world of GMOD, save for Tool Gun, whom he would recruit as one of his assistants.
- After Crystaly is defeated, he shows no care about him, only seeing him as one of his plans to kill everyone, viewing him as "not much of an asset".
- To gain more power, he steals Glass Case Holder's skull. According to her, if the skull were to get into the wrong hands, it would lead to the universe ending.
- Anxiety demonstrates his cancellation powers on Phone, petrifying her. He then reveals what happens when someone falls under the effects of cancellation. This causes Plastic Bag to burst into tears.
- He gets Host Leo to attack Iron Door, which would cause his death due to being fatally wounded by them. He then imprisons Sky in a jar before leaving with them and cancelling OTA.
- Excluding Iron Door, Red Minion, and Kill. Only fifteen of OTA's cast had survived due to escaping through a portal, with the rest being dead.
- His cancellation of OTA not only affects the competition but the entire world as well. According to a news report, half of the world has been cancelled, with some of its inhabitants falling victim being shown onscreen.
- Anxiety would then task the hosts to fight the survivors, however, when HPRC stands against him, Anxiety cancels them and intimidates the other hosts.
- When approached, Anxiety sends Red Minion to attack the contestants, only failing after he snaps out of his hypnotism. After this fails, he would create shadow clones resembling the friends of the contestants to attack them. These clones also verbally insult them, mocking their personality.
- After the contestants miss hitting Anxiety with their machine, Anxiety makes the clones disappear and decides to take on the remaining survivors himself.
- When confronted by the rest of the contestants and the hosts who have turned against him, Anxiety starts to get worried due to being outnumbered by the cast, displaying cowardice.
- He then kills everyone who tried to fight him after the skull has finished being powered. He also taunts Jelly Bread, who was trying to resist being cancelled. He then plots to destroy the world.
- Shocked that Jelly Bread was revived, he attempted to kill her again, only to have his physical body destroyed in the process.
- Before his death, Anxiety laughs at Jelly Bread and tells her that he will return, stating that he will always come back, meaning he has died before but had been revived in the past.
- Even though Anxiety died, those who fell victim to his cancellation powers remain deceased until Jelly Bread uses her wish to revive them after she wins the show.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Because Anxiety is an entity that only seeks to wreak havoc and is a literal representation of Anxiety, he technically has moral agency issues as he embodies a negative concept. However, he does show personality and takes sadistic joy in what he does, making this a minor prevention.
