~ Perez threatening Olivia Benson's adopted son. |
Angel Perez is the overarching antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Spring Awakening" and the main antagonist of "Girls Disappeared". He is the head of a sex trafficking ring which exploits girls and young women, using his ride-share company, Quickride as a front for his criminal activities.
He was portrayed by Manny Perez.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is a crime lord who runs the Quickride Sex Trafficking Ring where he has women kidnapped from Mexico and taken to his mansion where he breaks them in by raping them and forces them into prostitution. He smuggles them to America, where he advertises them online and pimps them out through his ride-share company, Quickride. He launders the money he makes from his sex trafficking business.
- He had Selena Cruz kidnapped when she was young, raped her, and forced her into prostitution, eventually "promoting" her and turning her into a cold sex trafficker, putting her in charge of prostitutes. He had raped and impregnated her and would keep her loyal by threatening the life of her son, Miguel.
- Five of his victims who he had kidnapped, he personally raped and impregnated them, having his mother hold the babies hostage so that he could force his slaves to be subservient.
- When Ellie Porter plans on testifying against him, he orders his men to gang-rape her and burn her to death. This leaves Ellies baby, Noah without his mother and leads to Benson adopting him, making this one of strongest acts of personal villainy in the entire series.
- He forced his pimp Augustino "Little Tino" Aguilar, who took part in Ellie Porter's rape and murder to take the sole blame for what was done to her by threatening the life of his family.
- He had Luna Garcia, a teenage girl kidnapped so that he could turn her into one of his prostitutes. When she was taken in by SVU, he had his henchman, Diego Ramirez attempt to shoot and kill her.
- He had Little Tino shanked in prison in an attempt to keep him silent, nearly killing him.
- To send a message, he has Missy Brooks and Merrill Caswith killed in a drive-by shooting. In another drive-by shooting that he stages, he attempts to have Noah Porter, Lucy Huston, and numerous civilians killed.
- He trashes his own office to make it look like he is a victim so that SVU does not suspect him.
- He is never shown to have care towards his children, even willing to have his biological children harmed just to keep his prostitutes in line.
- When confronted by Olivia Benson and Fin Tutuola, he threatens Benson that he knows where she lives and that she knows that she has Noah.
- He draws his gun and attempts to kill Benson and Tutuola.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]
- While it is likely he has many other off-screen trafficking victims, this is Fridge Horror, causing him to fail the absurd heinous standards of the Law and Order franchise to Johnny D., a violent sex trafficker, who is the one responsible for selling Ellie Porter to him in the place, has more known trafficking victims, and whose trafficking-related crimes are delved into more deeply.
- He seems to have a good relationship with his wife, as they seem to trust each other, he is never shown being violent towards her, and she is genuinely sad when he is killed. However, this is not delved into much, making it minor.
