Andrew Earlham is the main antagonist of the 2017 TV Series Liar. He is a cardiac surgeon as well as a vile serial rapist who raped over 19 women in the past, including the main protagonist Laura Nielson.
He was portrayed by Ioan Gruffudd.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Has raped over 19 women.
- Films their rapes and then watched them over and over again for his own sick pleasure.
- Goaded his wife into committing suicide after she found out what he was doing.
- Attempted to fake his own death and frame Laura for it out of spite.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He cares about his son Luke, and this is showcased on many occasions, like when he lies to his son's girlfriend's father so she won't get deported, and when he visits him in the hospital after he attempts suicide, despite it severely risking his chance at freedom. While Andrew does not accept that a lot of the bad stuff that happened to Luke is his fault, unintentionally, there is never anything significant enough to subvert these pretty clear instances of loving his son so he can’t qualify as Pure Evil, even though he is still a horrible man and treated as such.
