Anck-Su-Namun is the secondary antagonist of Stephen Sommers' The Mummy trilogy, serving as the overarching antagonist of its first installment of the same name and one of the two secondary antagonists of The Mummy Returns.

She was portrayed by Patricia Velásquez.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

In general[]

  • She subverts possible sympathy for her being essentially a sex-slave for the Pharaoh by her dispassionate cruelty, such as to Nefertiti, and doesn't seem to be all that bothered by it in general, proudly walking through the hallways despite being functionally naked.
  • She conversely subverts love for Imhotep, if it ever existed, by rushing out after abandoning him without a trace of sorrow or remorse or worry.
  • She expresses no concern or remorse or perturbment whatsoever over the incalculable people mutilated or killed so she can either be with Imhotep, or be resurrected, or rule together.
  • It could be assumed that Imhotep was a loyal priest of the Pharaoh and that she seduced him and corrupted him; retrospectively, her care for him, if it ever was genuine, can instead be seen as hunger for power rather than a desire to escape the Pharaoh.
  • Despite the heinousness standards, she is essentially the main causative factor behind all of the bad things happening and cannot be fairly compared to Imhotep, as she lacks his powers.

1290 B.C.[]

  • While she was Pharoah Seti I’s lover, she cheated on him with his priest Imhotep.
  • When Seti found out, she and Imhotep killed him.
    • Whilst this could be an understandable reaction due to being his concubine, with no indication that she's here of her own free-will, it is still a heinous action.
  • She killed herself to avoid punishment and hoping in the future Imhotep could resurrect her.

1926 A.D.[]

  • Upon being resurrected by Imhotep she began to attack Evelyn with a dagger attempting to kill her until 4 mummified soldiers killed and destroyed her.

1933 A.D.[]

  • When resurrected again by Imhotep inside Meela Nais’s body, she and he start a plan to kill the Scorpion King, take over his Anubis army and rule the world.
  • When pygmy mummies are attacking the cult, she showed no care for them at all.
  • She killed Evelyn.
  • When Evie's brother Jonathan showed up to fight to avenge Evie, she was about to kill him until a resurrected Evelyn showed up to save him.
  • She fought Evelyn in a deadly brawl with Sais until Anck-Su-Namun got cut by her, making her run away to help Imhotep.
  • She restrained Evelyn when she tried to help Rick.
  • When Imhotep fell into a pit of demons, he begged for her help, but she left him despite the fact Imhotep went through hell and back twice for her to exist, this made Imhotep give up and fall into the pit forever. However her cowardice was in vain too as Anck-Su-Namun fell into a pit of scorpions and got eaten by them.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She failed the Heinous Standards to Imhotep, as her worst action on her own, abandoning Imhotep, was out of cowardice, not out of malice.
