Not safe is this part of town for a young widow at this hour. What are you hiding? Might need to take a little peek at that pretty face. Although i don't know if it's gonna stay pretty... much longer.
~ Alistair attempting to sexually assault The Widow, unbeknownst to her intentions.
Kenneth: But why did you call Alistair Simcoe 'Jack the Ripper'?
Horatio: He'd get a hard-on carving up some of my working girls. Carved up their faces. You ask me, he had this coming. The fuck's lucky he wasn't me.
~ Horatio about Allistair's crimes against his girls.
I protect my girls and boys. Queen's Chamber is a safe place for them and my clients, and because of that, that demonic prick was reduced to hunting street walkers. You want to know who might've wanted revenge against Alistair Simcoe? Any of the cheap pimps and lost souls out there.
~ Terrence Crenshaw about Alistair and his banning.

Alistair Simcoe is a minor antagonist in the fifth season of the horror anthology series Slasher, titled Ripper.

He is a rich yet perverted and deranged gentleman whose sadistic tendencies in sexual intercourse ended in his brutal and humiliating death at the hands of a serial killer known as The Widow, kickstarting the events of the season.

He was portrayed by Shaun Benson.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Alistair would take advantage of his wealthy status to buy the services of any harlot he could find (male and female) just so he could disfigure them with a blade hidden in his walking stick. This act resulted in him getting banned from all brothels in Toronto, being forced to wander the streets searching for prey.
    • He tries to force himself on The Widow prior to his death, nor caring if she was a prostitute or not. This strongly implies that he would also rape any girls he could clutch his hands on wandering alone at night.
    • While we don't see any of Alistair's victims, we do have a flashback of him refusing to pay Salomé for their services and then carving up their face with his blade. This basically shows us his modus operandi, being enough to not fall into off-screen villainy.
  • Following his friend Basil Garvey's request, Alistair would play a major part in the torture, rape and murder of Margaret Mehar, a maid who tried to blackmail Basil just so he could give her daughter a better life.
    • The Widow confirms Margaret got raped, and while she doesn't say Alistair was the specific one to do it, considering he was the only participant with a record of many sex and torture crimes, it is strongly implied he was the one who performed the most disgusting acts in her murder (since Kashtisnky only watched, Georges choked her and Basil just gave her the finishing blow).
  • While it is true he isn't the only rapist in the show (with Chief Iain Vaughn being his direct competition), Alistair stands out due to the bigger scale he commited his crimes to the point the entire upper class knew him for his sadistic tendencies and the pimps had to ban him from their places just to save their boys and girls.
    • He also had a lot less screen time than Vaughn or Benny Ironside, whose role were of major antagonists, and still managed to stand out in the massive Heinous Standards of the show.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He actually cared for his wife Regina. The proof is he left everything he owned to her in his will even if he had absolutely nothing to gain from this. Since there aren't any proofs of abuse, neither on-screen nor from Regina, it can be concluded his care was genuine.
