Alexander Leland Cayne also known as Jack or Leland Alexander is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Arthur Edwards) of the Hitman video game series, serving as the unseen overaching antagonist of Hitman: Contracts, the main antagonist of Hitman: Blood Money, and a posthumous antagonist for the rest of the series.
He is the former Director of the FBI and secretly the leader of the Franchise, an illegal contract killing agency and one wing of the Alpha Zerox secret society. Originally, he served as the narrator of this story but later revealed his true nature and intention by the final mission.
He was voiced by Roger L. Jackson, who also voiced the masked Billy Loomis, Nancy Loomis, Mickey Altieri, Charlie Walker and Wayne Bailey in the Scream franchise.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Attempted to kill 47 while claiming he was a weapon of mass destruction, which makes him a hypocrite due to his involvement with clone assassins.
- Corrupted the french police chief Albert Fournier in order to have him arrest 47 in Paris.
- Had vice-president Spaulding Burke dead in a supposed car accident.
- Arranged matters to have Daniel Morris, a Franchise agent, as vice-president.
- Sent the Crows to assassinate the secretary of interior Jimmy Macklin.
- Recites lies during private interview with Henderson.
- Sent Mark Parchezzi III to assassinate the president of the United States.
- Managed to have Diana Burnwood "betray" 47 by injecting him a serum that seemingly killed him, until it turned out she faked his death and just temporarily killed him.
- Was planning to take 47's DNA to make an assassin cloning program and install a corrupt US president to cover up his crimes. He would use said assassins to eliminate the entire ICA and anyone who would stand in his path, making him heinous enough to pass the high Hitman heinous standards.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He was genuinely affable towards the reporter Rick Henderson, and while he could've been polite on purpose to get him on his side there is a scene where he sincerely apologized for yelling due to not being able to smoke a cigarette due to his current state. He was also affable towards Diana, congratulating her and saying to her she was now into his trust.
Trivia[]
- Alexander Leland Cayne is the sole Near Pure Evil voiced by Roger L. Jackson to not belong to the Scream franchise.
