Near Pure Evil Wiki

Naruto: Unforgivable. What do you think of all those who are training frantically, believing in you guys?! One's even on the verge of dying! Do you understand that?!
Akahoshi: Sacrifice is unavoidable for the safe of village prosperity. A Shinobi is merly a tool for that.
~ Naruto and Akahoshi

Akahoshi is the main antagonist of the Star Guard Mission Arc in the Naruto anime. He was a shinobi of the Hidden Star Village and later the self-proclaimed Fourth Hoshikage.

He is voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto in Japanese and by Kirk Thornton in English, the latter also voices Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic Boom.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Murdered the Third Hoshikage in order to take his position and implement his ideals.
  • Reinstated the star training thereby again, endangering the health of children which sometimes resulted in their deaths.
  • Brainwashed the children with his fanatical "patriotism".
  • Orders his two minions to kill Naruto and his comrades.
  • Stuns all the kids, kidnaps Sumaru and he blackmails his mother so that if she doesn't give him the star, the child will die.
  • Wants to blame Naruto and his friends for kidnapping Sumaru, and he wants to incite everyone against each other.
  • Attacks the stunned Natsuhi and almost kills Naruto.
  • Manipulates Sumaru with his chakra and attempts to kill him in front of his mother.
  • After Natsuhi surrenders to him, he still attacks her and absorbs her chakra.
  • Calls Sumaru a traitor in front of the other children and orders them to follow him. He then exiles his companion Hokuto because she stands by Sumaru.
  • Kills Natsuhi.
  • Proclaims himself the Fourth Hoshikage and orders everyone to kill Sumaru, Naruto and his friends, as well as anyone who wants to get into the village.
  • States that the children can be sacrificed at any time, they are only pawns and can be replenished at any time. He also states that anyone who can’t get through the training is not loyal to the village and doesn't like it enough.
  • Orders the adult ninjas to kill all the children because they are traitors.
  • He shoots Mizura with a crossbow.
  • Once he completely absorbs the power of the star he descends into madness, wanting to kill everyone for their "disloyalty" and going against the village.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He fails Naruto's heinous standards to Haido and Orochimaru who both have similar resources like Akahoshi. Haido slaughtered a populated village and had the surviving children manipulated and turned into soldiers to use in his wars by having their souls placed in iron armors while also having a higher body count than Akahoshi. Orochimaru was responsible for manipulating and sacrificing Kin and Zaku for the Impure World Reincarnation technique and for killing about 60 children in gruesome experiments to test Hashirama's cells.

Trivia[]

  • Akahoshi is a very similar character to Danzo Shimura; they both sacrifice anything and anyone for the village, want to take total leadership of their villages via usurpation and treat everyone as tools for the success of the village. However, Akahoshi is much more power-hungry and crazy.
