| ~ Agnes vowing revenge on Monica's Gang and losing her last chance of redemption, as they happily walk out of her house. |
Agnes, also known as Agens the Tenebrous, is a major antagonist in the Monica's Gang franchise.
She is the shy and unsympathetic pre-teen girl who lives in the Pitanga Tree Neighbourhood, and causes fear to anyone who does as much as hear her name, as her reclused nature makes her pretty creepy. In reality, she captures animals for her own fun and entertainment, and lives with the ghosts of her parents, part of the "Shadow People", who did not go to the afterlife out of pure evilness in their souls.
Despite being a mostly harmless villain towards the gang, helping Penha bully them but otherwise not being much of a threat, she is revealed to have died young, and became one of the Shadow People, like her parents, helping Penha in her scheme to finally take revenge on the gang, as the secondary antagonist of Monica Teen's Shadows of the Past arc.
Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- In order to hear their singing, she constantly captures birds from the nearby neighbourhood to hear their singing. Her parents kill them to make meat and pillows, but, apathetic to this, she keeps capturing more.
- She helped Penha and Sofia attempt to shove Monica, Maggy and Denise out of their block with brute strength more than once.
- She kidnapped Maggy's cat, Vanilla, despite the huge chance of him belonging to someone, and voiced her intent to skin him and make a pillow with what's left, while laughing.
- Once she finds out Maggy, Denise and Monica broke into her house and tricked her into receiving a complete make-up session, she locked them with a cage, despite knowing her parents, momentarily defeated, wanted to kill them. While they broke into her house and assaulted her parents, it was only to save Vanilla and in self-defense.
- Despite coming close, she ultimately gives up on her chance of redemption as her father's influence prove stronger than Maggy, and, resentful of her inability of being truly happy or making friends, she swears to have revenge on the whole gang.
- Similar to her parents, her soul was so full of bitterness and hatred that she stayed on Earth as a type of ghost, a Shadow Person.
- Once Penha invoked her and revealed her plan, Agnes promptly agreed to help her, and Sofia get revenge on the gang.
- Kidnapped at least a dozen of magical creatures, including the cheerful flying pigs, the LELEALA, putting them into horrible conditions on her house.
- Attracting Monica and the gang into her house with visions of the imprisoned creatures, she appeared and chased them down, in order to create incriminating evidence of vandalism against Monica for Penha.
- She helps out planning the party where Penha plans to reveal the fake video and arrest Monica for it.
- Once "Pauline", actually Denise in disguise, exposed Penha and her plan in the party's big screen, Penha loses her cool and simply order Agnes to "kill them all". While it was Penha's order, she immediately went on to it gleefully, showing she had intentions of unleashing her violence like that since the beginning, and only did not for Penha's of ruining Monica's life. Also, if one were to count the number of invitees, there are at least 40-something people, though the number is probably even bigger, but unspecified.
- As she attempts to kill Monica to start her killing spree, Angelo appears right down from Heaven, to finally put an end to the undead abomination that Agnes has become. Screaming that she wants to stay like that, she fights Angelo and tries to kill him.
- While she was sympathetic in Classic, she lost her tragic traits in Teen as she accepts and indulges in her hateful and violent nature, wanting to cause everyone to suffer out of her own volition and hate, and not because of her parent's influences, and not being treated with sympathy by anyone.
- While Berenice and Captain Fray, among others, outclass her in heinousness, they have more resources that allow them to make global-sized threats. Agnes, even with her shapeshifting and strength gained once she became a ghost, has no such resources and powers to match the most heinous villains in terms of feats.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She has a genuine friendship with Penha, and had one with Sofia, before her redemption. She genuinely controls herself and follow all of Penha's orders to have her plan carried out perfectly, and seemed genuinely frustrated once Sofia turned on them, showing she had a genuine sense of friendship to those who have been her only friends ever since her lonely childhood.
