~ Irving while breaking Reggie's legs |
Admin T. Irving, also simply known as Irving is the main antagonist of The Hex. The levels in which he appears in are Combat Arena X, Secrets of Legendaria, Vicious Galaxy and Walk. He appears at first to be simply doing his job, however, as the game continues, it's clear he's sadistic and cruel on his own accord, and will sometimes straight up ignore Lionel's orders to do what he wants.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- The Game makes it very clear he generates characters to be in Lionel's games, and we know from The Vurm's dialogue these characters can feel pain when hit, meaning most of them are stuck in a cycle of constant pain over and over again. This even further implied when Lionel states in Walk while talking about Combat Arena X that sometimes it looks as if the characters can genuinely feel the punches they're taking.
- Even though Irving claims this is them doing work, we also know because of Rocky and Rust, that some of these characters don't even know they are video game characters, making it impossible for it to just be a job.
- And even then, the characters that are aware they're in a video game clearly don't want to be in them, and absolutely hate Irving for making them be in games.
- Even though Irving claims this is them doing work, we also know because of Rocky and Rust, that some of these characters don't even know they are video game characters, making it impossible for it to just be a job.
- Irving seems to explicitly avoid letting Lionel know the characters are alive, possibly hinting indirectly that he's aware of the guilt it'd cause people to know they are harming characters with real feelings in the games they play. Yet, Irving himself shows no remorse for this whatsoever. Not only this, but he's also obsessed with fighting in an almost perverse manner that seems to give him a head-rush to the point where he'll forget he's actually hurting people.
- In his battle with Chandrelle, he'll also force her to repeatedly fight him if she loses; Constantly attacking her until he ultimately decides to start beating her possibly to death, she is only saved by Jeremiah.
- In Combat Arena X, he takes Chef Bryce out of his cooking game, and forces him to be in a fighting game.
- When Chef Bryce accidentally punches him. he proceeds to beat him until he's knocked out.
- It's also made clear he did this same kind of intense training to Chandrelle.
- Even after Chef Bryce is banned for being too Overpowered, he attempts to force him to be in Combat Arena X2.
- He then tricks Bryce into punching his own grandmother, and then announces that because he's hit an innocent NPC, he's now not allowed in any video game, even mocking him by saying "KO!".
- Should the player decide to not punch Irving, Irving will beat Bryce until the player punches him.
- In Secrets of Legendaria, he attempts to stop Chandrelle and Lazarus from helping Vallamir destroy the game. However, his means of doing this greatly display his hypocrisy as he beats Captain Barnay to near death and replaces him in order to do so.
- Captain Barnay can be seen later in the game, where he mentions that the moment resulted in immense trauma.
- Once Chandrelle and Lazarus realise it's Irving in disguise, he attempts to kill them, to stop them from breaking the game.
- It's revealed later on in Walk, that after failing to kill Chandrelle and Lazarus, he forced Rebeccha to fight Vallamir, a fight that she ended up loosing.
- Once he fails at stopping them, he sends Lazarus to a very dangerous game by the name of Vicious Galaxy, and traps Vallamir inside Chandrelle's head, declaring he's too obscure of a character to go in any game.
- At the start of the Vicious Galaxy section of the game, he threatens Lazarus, claiming if Lazarus shoots him, they will tear him apart byte by byte. This doesn’t work however, and he is ultimately gunned down by Lazarus.
- Later on in vicious Galaxy, we see that's he's keeping multiple characters in cages, which inadvertently leads to Sado killing them all.
- He told Lionel that Root beer Reggie would be exported to a different game, however, this was a lie, as while Root beer tender was being deleted, Reggie refused to leave, causing Irving to break his legs, making him need a wheel chair for the rest of his life.
- This also inadvertently causes all the events that take place in the hex, as this makes Reggie want revenge against Lionel, because Irving said "Lionel wants this." While breaking his legs.
- He continued to support the Scrybes even after they tortured James Cobb and left him to burn in P03's melter, further emphasizing that he mostly cares for game characters because of how expensive they are to make.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Even though he isn't against disobeying Lionel, he is still relatively supportive to him, and warns him about the video game protagonists opening The Hex.
Trivia[]
- He is currently one of two characters from a Daniel Mullins game to be Near Pure Evil alongside P03.
