Adam Styler is a major antagonist of the novel Sleepers and its 1996 film adaptation.
In the film, he was portrayed by Lennie Loftin.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He, along with the other guards repeatedly beat and rape the boys in their charge, which he takes sadistic enjoyment in doing.
- He and the other guards force the new boys, Michael Sullivan, Lorenzo Carcaterra, Tommy Marcano and John Reilly to give them oral sex on the first night.
- During their stay, he takes part in abusing and raping the four boys.
- He sodomizes Michael with his baton while forcing him to sing a hymn, laughing with the other guards who watch.
- When the boys beat the guards in football, he beats them as punishment and aids in beating Rizzo to death.
- On Michael, Lorenzo, Tommy, and John's last night, he and the other guards subject them to an especially brutal night of rapes and beatings that leaves them with lasting trauma.
- He is shown to also have partaken in police corruption as a narcotics detective in the NYPD, where he works as muscle for drug dealers he investigates and works as a hitman, killing the competition of the dealers.
- He never shows any remorse for his actions.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He ultimately fails the Heinous Standards to Sean Nokes, the head guard, as most of his actions are done under him.
