ā€œ You know the problem with people these days? They are far too sheltered. Playing make-believe in the utopia that doesn't exist, hiding behind their computer screens or whatever helps distract them from reality. But the trust is, they're an embarrassment. Abandoning human nature for a fantasy. They've lost touch with the most essential instinct: survival. ā€ž
~ Adam's misanthropic worldview.

Adam is the main antagonist of the Welcome To The Game series, serving as the deuteragonist of the first game and The Waiting Room, the main antagonist of the second game and Dead Signal, and a mentioned character and possible overarching antagonist of Scrutinized,

He is the leader of a Deep Web group named Noir, in which it kidnaps and forces people to fight for their lives in order to expose their real selves.

He is voiced by, based on and named after Adam Flatau, the creator of the game.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He is a major figure in The Deep Web, known for being part of a human snuff filming ring, and used his connections to sell innocent people to the highest bitter so they can be tortured.
  • He forced people into sick games to reveal their real animalistic natures while defending themselves.
  • He inferred by Tanner that he has connections to the Blueblood killer, the killer of Luna’s sister, which could imply he had something to do with the murder.
  • He ordered the Two Noir members to kidnap Amelia, a teenage girl, and convinced Clint using reverse psychology into going into the deep web to find her.
  • He hid cameras around Clint’s apartment and the entire complex so he can sell it in the dark web.
  • In order to make the game interesting, he ordered the two noir couples, The Breather, who’s a serial killer, a Polish Hitman named Lucas and made it so the NYPD would track his trail.
  • When Clint was close to solving the case, Adam had the Noir Couple kidnap him and send him to his office, where he reveals his messed up ideologies.
  • He makes Clint choose to either have Amelia die to save himself or save Amelia to have himself die. It's implied the ending where Clint lets Amelia die is the cannonical one, since he's still alive by the time of Dead Signal.
  • He is a Karma Houdini who doesn't get any punishment for his crimes, making him free to commit more atrocities in the future.
  • While he supposedly shows some standards, as he tells Lydia that the Deep Web are full of freaks, and that he didn’t reach the depravity of The Executioner and The Doll Maker, he comes off as a hypocrite due to hiring just as depraved people (Noir couple and Lydia).
  • While he ended up sparing Ronald at the end of Dead Signal, it was only out of pragmatism because he needed him to hack Jack Rolfe, thus hiring him in the Noir for said task.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He is shown to have a code of honor, as he actually spares Amelia or Clint if the player chooses to spare either of them, actually telling Clint that he understands saving himself, showing some bit of empathy.

Trivia[]

  • He is the only Reflect Studio character to be Near Pure Evil.
