~ Abigail Lazar's most famous quote |
Abigail Lazar is the titular main antagonist of the 2024 horror comedy film of the same name.
She is the top assassin and daughter of the vampire Kristof Lazar, who falls out with her prior to the movie's events. To regain her father's love, Abigail hunts down several humans to feast on them.
She was portrayed by Alisha Weir.
Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- She and her father Kristof are responsible for the ruination of several people's lives. As a skilled assassin, Abigail has killed hundreds or maybe thousands of threats to her father's crime syndicate. She demonstrates an immense sadism towards her murders admitting to love prolonging her victims' torment for as long as she could because she loved to play with her food. She would employ Lambert by threatening his family so he would lure people to an abandoned manor where she would systematically turn and murder them down to the last person. In one room of the house, a large pool reveals hundreds of the victims she had killed over the years. With some still in states of decomposition, those were some of her most recent kills.
- She brutally murders Dean and leaves his corpse on a chair which is later discovered by Sammy and revealed to be dismembered.
- She dances with Dean's headless corpse for no reason but to sadistically taunt the kidnappers.
- She murders Rickles and leaves him to be found by Joey.
- Abigail bites and forcibly turns Sammy into a vampire she could puppet and has her kill Peter.
- She ultimately lacks remorse for any of her actions throughout the course of the film. While she did spare Joey at the end, it is made clear that Abigail still intends to continue killing for her father's sake.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She seemingly loves her father in spite of the abuse he put her through and kills his enemies in the hope of gaining his approval.
- She prefers to kill the rivals of her father rather than take innocent people off the street. While it can be chalked up to pragmatic villainy since it's easier to go after threats to the crime syndicate rather than risk attention by stealing away a bystander, she still doesn't generally express any desire to harm innocents (though she allegedly threatened Lambert's family in the past, she didn't follow through on it).
- She calls out both Joey and Frank for abandoning their children, which causes Joey to regret her actions.
- She saves Joey from being killed by Frank and teams up with her to defeat him, later protecting her from her father out of gratitude for her saving her life when Frank tried to kill her and even comforts her about her son, reassuring her that she just has to be there for him.
Trivia[]
- She is one of four Near Pure Evil characters who also count as Inconsistently Admirable, along with Azrael, Hiro Shishigami and the anime version of Light Yagami.
- She and Abby are the only Near Pure Evils to be young vampires, though Abby is not as sadistic as Abigail, only feeding on humans' blood for survival.
